Death Cult II: The Immortality Hunt

Since the Fall of Man, death’s reign over life haunts and exasperates the kings of this world, with their hunt for immortality knowing no bounds. Challenged with their newfound mortality, man’s attempts to conquer death include; alchemy, the Philosopher’s Stone, the Holy Grail, vampirism, and transhumanism just to name a few. The elites leave no stone unturned, except one, the chief cornerstone. 

While the Death Cult elites extol abortion, euthanasia, suicide, death penalty, Georgia Guidestones, population control, etc, they go to extreme lengths to immortalize themselves. This article will review the attempts the Death Cult tried and tested through the ages to gain immortality.

Alchemy

What is alchemy? Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) in the UK summarizes it thusly:

The art of alchemy was handed down through the centuries from Egypt and Arabia to Greece and Rome, and finally to western and central Europe. The word is derived from the Arabian phrase “al-kimia,” which refers to the preparation of the Stone or Elixir by the Egyptians. The Arabic root “kimia” comes from the Coptic “khem” that alluded to the fertile black soil of the Nile delta. Esoterically and hieroglyphically, the word refers to the dark mystery of the primordial or First Matter (the Khem).

Many scientists shun science’s connection with alchemy because of its occultic origins. Others embrace it, such as Genentech, an American biotechnology corporation, where they state:

Ancient alchemists aimed to transform and transmute matter itself. These philosophers and proto-scientists worked tirelessly to convert materials into gold through mysticism and ancient traditions.

Even in today’s high tech laboratories, trying to produce a biologic medicine made out of trillions of living cells in a bioreactor can feel like the elusive pursuits of the ancient alchemists.

They continue:

Follow along as we explore the world of modern day alchemy, and the processes and technologies we employ to convert the basic ingredients of life into biologic medicines.

Genentech finishes their article with this anecdote:

We can now reliably take strings of DNA and convert them into medicines that help transform the lives of countless people with serious diseases. We think the old alchemists would be quite impressed.

Helping those with serious diseases is to be lauded, but comparing it to alchemy is odd.

Why? Because there’s another facet to alchemy that Genentech alluded to and RSC mentions here:

Simplified, the aims of the alchemists were threefold: to find the Stone of Knowledge (The Philosophers’ Stone), to discover the medium of Eternal Youth and Health, and to discover the transmutation of metals.

The chase for eternal youth and immortality not only permeates biotech companies’ ideology, but as Ecclesiastes 3:11 shares, we possess a longing for eternity:

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

As this Bible verse shows, we crave eternity as the Lord placed it within us, but when you eschew God and make an idol your god, that eternity-sized hole in your heart remains void. People will mislead you by convincing you to seek eternity without God via many abilities some consider to be, unnatural.

This demonic and worldly way leads to eternity without God, but the biblical way is through Jesus Christ, as written in Matthew 7:13-14:

Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Before we drive deeper along the darkside’s diverse ways, let’s explore the first two aims of alchemy.

For from the Philosopher’s Stone to the Elixir of Life, alchemy’s various incarnations throughout history show the depths the enemy will descend to deceive the world. Up first in the death cheater’s alchemical milieu, is a book that ascended witchcraft into the mainstream through children.

The Philosopher’s Stone

The first book of the Harry Potter series revolves around the Philosopher’s Stone. This book, unsurprisingly called Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (aka Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone), focuses on witchcraft and sorcery to find this part of the alchemical trinity. 

In particular, the novel gives credit to Nicolas Flamel as the creator of the Philosopher’s Stone and he could create the Elixir of Life from it:

Harry Potter’s Sorcerer’s Stone was created by Nicolas Flamel during the 14th century. It was the only known stone of that substance to ever be in existence. Flamel, a famous alchemist and wizard, used the stone to concoct the Elixir of Life. Through the use of the potion, Flamel and his wife, Perenelle, both lived to be well over 600 years old. 

History confirms Flamel’s existence, but not the Philosopher’s Stone creation. Before the Philosopher’s Stone cha-chinged its way into JK Rowling’s bank account, it descended society into an alchemical abyss.

The earliest recorded document of the Philosopher’s Stone dates to AD 300 in books credited to the alchemist and Gnostic mystic Zosimos of Panopolis. 

Zosimos presented alchemy with a pseudo-salvation through mystical means:

In short, Zosimos may be credited with endowing alchemy with a real mystical dimension. With him, alchemy appears to have become a way of life that demanded from its followers a preliminary work of mental purification and that would give them access to spiritual salvation.

Zosimos’ alchemic salvation is a fallacious occultic belief, relying upon Hermetic and Gnostic traditions. Interestingly, Zosimos credits the fallen angels (the watchers) with teaching humanity alchemy:

The ancient and divine writings say that the angels became enamoured of women; and, descending, taught them all the works of nature. From them, therefore, is the first tradition, chema, concerning these arts; for they called this book chema and hence the science of chemistry takes its name.

With the Genesis 6 account (Fall of the Angels) and the Book of Enoch as his backdrop, Zosimos connects this to alchemy’s origins. This should not shock or surprise us, for Satan knows the Bible as he tempted Jesus by distorting scripture (Luke 4:1-13). Satan deceived the first Adam by misquoting God in the Garden of Eden, but could not deceive the last Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45), Jesus, the true Savior of the world (John 4:42, 1 John 4:14).

The Elixir of Life 

A potion to induce eternal life is a common theme throughout the alchemical world. From the Epic of Gilgamesh and ancient China and India, to the aforementioned Philosopher’s Stone, all contain accounts of the Elixir of Life.

These “immortality” instilling tinctures ranged from ambrosia to mercury to mushrooms and various fruits and even gems. They fell short of immortalizing its imbiber.

While speaking to the Samaritan woman at the well, Jesus, however, explains the true source of immortality inducing refreshment in John 4:13-14:

Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

Later in John’s gospel, Jesus continues with the living water motif (John 7:37-38):

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” 

John further describes the river of living water in the new heavens and the new earth in Revelation 22:1:

And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 

While the Death Cult scours the globe for immortality in a bottle, they miss the boat of locating living water through Jesus Christ. So rather than humbling themselves and calling on Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and drinking from His Holy water, they instead blaspheme Him by drinking their own potion from His Last Supper cup, the Holy Grail. 

The Holy Grail

In the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Indiana Jones again faces off against Nazis, this time pursuing the Holy Grail. 

This incarnation of the legend of the Holy Grail is the chalice Jesus and His disciples drank from during the Last Supper. According to this legend, the Holy Grail grants its drinker immortality. 

Another legend version holds that Joseph of Arimathea caught Jesus’ blood and water that flowed from His side after being pierced by the centurion (John 19:34) and drinking from this cup provides immortality.

This cup, the Holy Grail, is the purported cup Jesus and His disciples drank from, as recorded in the synoptic gospels. Matthew records this interaction in Matthew 26:27-29:

Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.”

While Jesus’ followers put their hope, faith, and trust in Him, the Death Cult deceive themselves and their acolytes by placing their hope, faith, and trust of immortality in their own hands, through this Arthurian legend. Paul shares in 1 Corinthians 10:20-21:

Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons. 

The Death Cult elites’ esoteric ventures into immortality, see them traverse the alchemic spectrum from the sorcerer’s stone to life-giving water. Let’s transition our focus from these alchemic concepts towards what the Bible refers to as “the life of all flesh.” The blood, as discussed in Leviticus 17:13-14:

Whatever man of the children of Israel, or of the strangers who dwell among you, who hunts and catches any animal or bird that may be eaten, he shall pour out its blood and cover it with dust; for it is the life of all flesh. Its blood sustains its life. Therefore I said to the children of Israel, ‘You shall not eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off.’

Young Blood

From the Talmudic Lilith to the Egyptian Sekhmet to the Philippine manananggal, the origins and folklore of blood-sucking entities have intrigued for millennia. The most famous bloodsucker, Dracula, required blood to preserve his immortality. Are there modern-day groups who today practice vampirism?

These tales of vampires are not just ancient myths, it’s just the blood-sucking is via a different mechanism, as Silicon Valley billionaire Peter Thiel said:

I’m looking into parabiosis stuff, which I think is really interesting. This is where they did the young blood into older mice and they found that had a massive rejuvenating effect.

He continued:

I think there are a lot of these things that have been strangely under-explored.

The under-explored parabiosis Thiel discussed centers on studies linking old mice with young mice via their circulatory system. Stanford magazine reveals:

The first murmurings that young blood might mitigate the effects of aging echoed through the scientific community in 2005. A team of Stanford researchers had paired old mice with young mice, linking their circulatory systems, and within five weeks, the muscle and liver tissues of the old mice began to resemble those of the young mice.

Immortality is the frontier the enigmatic Thiel hopes to roam, as Inverse reported:

…much of the credit goes to Thiel’s relentless pursuit to chase what he views as a personal mission to not just live longer, but to be immortal. 

The Death Cult, in their never-ending quest for immortality, looks to young blood as their modern-day Elixir of Life.

Similar to the Leviticus verse shown above, Leviticus 17:11 says:

For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.

Could the Death Cult hope for the atonement of their souls and gain immortality via the blood of the young? No, for without the blood of Jesus their sin remains, their blood-infused tonic only brings glory to their god, the god of this world, Satan, who perverts and inverts the Word of God. 

The Blood of Jesus

The New Testament mentions Jesus’ blood throughout, from the four Gospels to Revelation, and by His blood we are:

Justified and Saved from God’s Wrath

Romans 5:9 states:

Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

Redeemed

1 Peter 1:18-19 declares:

Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. 

Reconciled

Ephesians 2:13 reads:

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

Colossians 1:19-20 says:

For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

Forgiven and Cleansed from Sin

Matthew 26:28:

For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

1 John 1:7:

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Able to Overcome the Enemy

Revelation 12:10-11:

Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” 

Blessed

1 Corinthians 10:16:

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

Eternal Inheritors, Children of God

The power of Jesus’ blood is best summed up in Hebrews 9:11-15:

But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

Undeterred, the Death Cult continues their quest for immortality, following their god’s lead, by again attempting to corrupt God’s imagers. Say hello to transhumanism and the Singularity.

Transhumanism and the Singularity

Transhumanism

The technocratic elites within the Death Cult salivate at the possibility of transhumanism becoming an accepted way of life. Transhumanism, what’s transhumanism?

Transhumanism’s definition is:

A cultural and intellectual movement that believes we can, and should, improve the human condition through the use of advanced technologies. One of the core concepts in transhumanist thinking is life extension: Through genetic engineering, nanotech, cloning, and other emerging technologies, eternal life may soon be possible. 

The transhumanism concept is the Death Cult’s savior under the guise of helping society via another Tower of Babel. What does it mean to be transhuman or transhumanist? According to transhumanist Zoltan Istvan, as written in the Huffington Post: 

Transhuman literally means beyond human. Transhumanists consist of life extensionists, techno-optimists, Singularitarians, biohackers, roboticists, AI proponents, and futurists who embrace radical science and technology to improve the human condition. The most important aim for many transhumanists is to overcome human mortality, a goal some believe is achievable by 2045.

Who are those who believe immortality is achievable by 2045? Meet Russian billionaire and transhumanist Dmitry Itskov, creator of the 2045 Initiative, who has gained interfaith support from the Dalai Lama and other faith leaders.

Where does this leave us? This transmutation from human to machine via the Singularity combines the original alchemists’ goals, transforming lead into gold while gaining immortality. Only it’s not metals they’re transmuting, it’s humans.

Until they can transition from human to posthuman, transhumanists turn to cryonics and other preservation techniques, awaiting their physical or digital reanimation until they achieve the technology to transmute themselves into gods. 

The gods of scientism, the Death Cult, continue to demolish ethical boundaries in their pursuit of immortality via technological eugenics, with their Philosopher’s Stone and Elixir of Life being the Singularity.

The Singularity

Transhumanism’s goal is the same as the ancient alchemists; immortality. The modern-day transhumanist method to achieve this goal is the Singularity.

Futurist Ray Kurzweil, Google’s Director of Engineering, is another transhumanist with his eye fixated on evolving humans from mere mortals to immortals through technology. Like Dmitry Itskov and Zoltan Istvan, Kurzweil speculates we will reach the Singularity in 2045:

I have set the date 2045 for the ‘Singularity’ which is when we will multiply our effective intelligence a billion fold by merging with the intelligence we have created. 

What is the Singularity? For some futurists, the Singularity:

is that point in time when all the advances in technology, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI), will lead to machines that are smarter than human beings.

This leads to the Singularity’s definition as defined on Kurzweil’s website:

…to refer to the point in time when human beings cross over the line and become immortal. 

In the same article, written by Kurzweil’s colleague, Dr. Terry Grossman, he continues:

I feel that this singular event corresponding to the end of death’s icy grip on human life will be among the most spectacular of triumphs for Life itself. This day that Death dies will join together with the day that Life took its first breath as the two most important dates in the history of life on our planet.

Combining the two Singularity definitions leads to the conclusion that transhumanist technocrats trust when AI becomes smarter than man, AI will figure out how to suspend death in humanity. But through what mechanism? As Kurzweil states, by uploading one’s soul to the digital cloud:

That leads to computers having human intelligence, our putting them inside our brains, connecting them to the cloud, expanding who we are. Today, that’s not just a future scenario, it’s here, in part, and it’s going to accelerate.

But how close are we to uploading our minds?

Satan and the rulers of the darkness of this age (Ephesians 6:12) conduct these occultic operations to alter humanity as the serpent did in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3) where the resultant sin spliced the death code into our DNA. And the interbreeding of angels with humanity (Genesis 6) corrupted God’s creation except for Noah’s family.

The amazing thing is, the Bible answers the points presented and reveals, for the Christian believer at least, how these technologies are fruitless endeavors, vanities, for achieving immortality. As Solomon shares in Ecclesiastes 1:2:

“Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher;

“Vanity of vanities, all is vanity.”

True Immortality

Jesus, by defeating the grave, now has the keys to Hades and Death as John transcribed in Revelation 1:18:

I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.

Through Jesus, we gain immortality, as Jesus’ victory on the cross swallowed up death as shown in 1 Corinthians 15:53-55:

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

“O Death, where is your sting?

O Hades, where is your victory?”

Jesus abolished death and brought life and immortality to you through this good news, as Paul presented in 2 Timothy 1:10:

but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel

In the new heaven and new earth, death will be nonexistent as John disclosed in Revelation 21:4:

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.

When Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior, sin’s shackles fall from your life and you receive the free gift of God, that is eternal life in Christ Jesus as Paul proclaimed in Romans 6:20-23:

For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We find true immortality in Jesus Christ, not as defined by the technocratic elites of the Death Cult, but as defined by the Creator of the Universe, the Lord our God. 

Pray for the Death Cult and their disciples, the technocratic elites, for Satan has blinded their minds as Paul says in 2 Corinthians 4:3-6:

But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake. For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

If you haven’t called on the name of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, today is the day. Confess Jesus as your Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
